In the history of film, Jack Nance is the only mainstream Hollywood actor to appear in an underground fetish video (so far). Some TV actors (Dana Plato, Jaimee Foxworth) have done porn, and a few porn stars (Traci Lords, Ginger Lynn) and fetish performers (Greta Carlson, Desi d'Angelo, aka Jasae) have done regular B-movie acting roles -- but Nance is unique.
Nance starred in David Lynch's first film "Eraserhead" (1976) and did bit parts in many of his later films plus a supporting role in the "Twin Peaks" series (1990-1991). In 1991, using an alias, he did one vignette in a multi-part bondage & spanking fetish video, Old Fashioned Spankings. Nance had a strange life plagued by alcoholism and money problems and most likely did this to make a quick buck.
This is part of a series on the history of fetish and other underground films. To see more clips and trailers, search for "exploitation", "fetish film", "stag film", "sexploitation" and "nunsploitation". Other films in this series include: Olga's House of Shame, The Defilers, The Love Girls, Rent-A-Girl, Olga's Girls, Motel Confidential, Venus in Furs, Sweet Sugar, Cool It Baby, All Women are Bad, The Ramrodder, Honey, women in prison and '30s French fetish films, Irving Klaw, Bettie Page, et al.

The woman in the video is Kelly Van Dyke, daughter of Jerry Van Dyke, who was Nance's wife at the time. She appeared in several porn films as Nancee Kelly before her suicide in 1991. An episode of the syndicated tabloid show A Current Affair was devoted to her death, featuring a distraught Nance.
